More than $2.9 million raised has helped save 25,000 infants at 78 hospitals in 30 states.Since the 1930s and long before the 2006 inception of its Neonatal Ventilator and Pulmonary Grant Program, the Will Rogers Institute (WRI) has been committed to generously funding research in pulmonary medicine and that helps save “little lives.” In the last decade alone, WRI has touched the lives of more than 25,000 premature babies by providing financial support to this special program dedicated to saving the lives of those who enter this world too soon with little lungs that are simply not ready to sustain life on their own.
The Will Rogers Institute Neonatal Ventilator and Pulmonary Grant Program has provided more than $2.9 million to 78 facilities across 30 states. In 2014 alone, the Will Rogers Institute will grant a total of $500,000 to 15 facilities across the country. These funds are primarily used to purchase critical equipment for neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). Five of these facilities received grants thanks to the generosity of our partners Variety of the United States, and Variety – the Children’s Charity of Southern California.
It is passionate donors like you who make it possible for WRI to provide lifesaving neonatal equipment to hospitals nationwide. It is truly awe-inspiring that your donations will save more than 4,000 new lives this year alone. We are so grateful for your support!
